I am still unsure on where to start my career. What do you guys think are the main difference between a start in PE vs Consulting? As many people start in Consulting and then move on to Private Equity, is it actually the more attractive career choice? And what would be the best way to get started there right away then?

I started in consulting and later moved to PE. Consulting is broad and strategic, while PE is all about deals and modeling. Many switch later, but if PE is the goal, I recommend to start early with internships and strong finance skills. Consulting is great for variety, but if you want to dive into investments right away, PE is the better move.
