Finance Associate Interview

Question

I have a super day coming up for a financial operations analyst position at an asset management firm. For their interview description, they mentioned that there would be 3 parts: Behavioral, Live Problem Solving Case, and Analytical Case (Brain teaser-like cases) (45 mins each). I understand how I can prepare for the Behavioral part but I needed some guidance on preparing for the other two. What would be some good resources to use?

Great question! Preparing for cases like these are really tricky because there aren't a ton of standardized materials for them in finance. The M&I 400Q guide has a few good brain teasers at the back for some of the more common brain teaser questions.

For the live problem solving case, though, one of the best ways to test this skillset is simply to go through some cases with someone who's been through simlar processes. I'd be happy to help you case on something like this--please reach out for a free intro call!
