McKinsey solve test / PSG

I recently took McKinsey solve test and had the ecosystem and redrock study.

For the ecosystem: Is it possible to have 2 chains that will not work out ?

- I started with a set of producers that provided the greated amount of calories and working from bottom-up, I noticed that the chain will not be sustainable (several species needed >3500 calories and only provided < 1500 calories)

- I switched to the second set of producers and with this chain, it was impossible for 8 species to survive (I checked and rechecked my notes) and only 7 species survived. I was short of time to redo the exercice with the last set of producers

For de redrock study: Are my results recorded if the game ends due to the time completion without pressing any button or is it necessary to press the button “complete study” before the time is up for my answers to be recorded (which I did not do)?

- I had the study and 6 mini-cases. I did not have enough time to do the last mini case

- Besides, just after I completed the study, I noticed that I made 3 mistakes in the study (1 repeated twice in the study -  figure in the analysis part that I input in the summary + the outcome whteher it is lower or higher than the target since the figure is wrong) and 1 answer for the cases I am unsure of as the wording of the question was unclear and could refer to two different computations. For the rest of my anwsers, I quite confident

Test results: Do you think given those results I still have a chance to pass Solve test ? I am a bit worried. HR told me they would reach out to me the day after the completion of my test if I pass. I still did not receive anything (it has been almost a week).

I heard about some people receiving their scores. How common is this practice ?

Will my performance be compared to the results of McKinsey database worldwide or just with the scores of candidates of the office I am recruiting for ?

Thank you

For which office did you do the Solve? I had a similar situation with the ecosystem. Btw how many questions did you have for the first part of Redrock? In my case I had only 1 question for the the first part and then 6 mini cases

I am recruiting for EMEA. It looks like there are bugs in the game. For the redrock study, I did not have anything strange. I had the data collection phase, the 3 questions in the analysis phase, the report phase (several information to input + graphs selection) and then the 6 mini-cases. However, the wording of some questions in the mini-cases was unclear and unspecific. Which office region did you apply ? Have you heard back ?
