Applying for associate roles n London

Hi Prep Lounge,

I am currently applying to different roles with consulting houses in London. I, however, find it very difficult to see any junior openings with most places. Is there any centralised place where these openings get posted?

Best,

Hi there,

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your situation:

  • First of all, the consulting hiring cycle in London starts a bit later this year, so you should keep your eyes open on the consulting firms’ hiring websites.
  • Moreover, please keep in mind to secure strong referrals for all applications, as your chances would be significantly lower without any.

You can find more on this topic here: How to succeed in the final interview round.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hi,

To my knowledge a platform like that does not exist. You could try LinkedIn, but  even then not all firms post their openings there.

The best way is to network and reach out directly to the firms, this increases the chance of your application getting screened.

It is abit tedious but then again it is not really that many top tier firms that exist in any one country.

All the best!

Hi there,

London offices usually follow a specific hiring cycle which starts a bit later during the year.

Your first step should be networking to be ready with a referral once applications open.

Cheers,

Florian
